Former athletes abound in business for a reason. Those who have listened to and responded to tough coaching, endured tough losses, persevered when called to play in overtime, and shared a common jersey with others of different abilities are often poised to succeed in an office environment. Barclay Friesen is an example of this athletic training and career translation. His experiences on the football fields and basketball courts of his youth have made him a motivator, a collaborator and a player who can be trusted.

Throughout his career Barclay has combined his dual strengths in sales and operational management to implement innovative strategies. He has had leadership roles in small and medium-sized companies as well as with teams as large as 600 people. He has achieved remarkable revenue growth, sales team management, and strategic business development in domestic and international scenarios. During his tenure as Founder and Vice President of Sales of ServiceSelect, he led operations, sales, and marketing teams that secured eight consecutive quarters of growth, even as the niche of the business, the housing market, saw unprecedented decline.

Most recently as COO of Rivet Software, Barclay led day-to-day operations of the sales department where he masterminded a sales and marketing strategy that accommodated rapid staff expansion of more than 1140% in two years. He headed the development, design, operation and improvement of all systems related to the growth of the Pro-Services, Compliance (XBRL) Services, Sales, Marketing, and Partnership departments. As a result of this acceleration, Rivet was designated the 6th fastest growing software company in the U.S. in 2011 by Inc. Magazine.

Barclay is a native of North Carolina, and he brings his southern spirit and fashion flare to his life in Colorado. A father of two boys, he often relives his glory days with them on the tackle fields of his neighborhood park.
